You have stolen my heart...

First a blessing to each of the youth who were at our house last night. We felt refreshed after hanging out with such passionate and open people. Thank you for bringing a lot of laughter into our home and for being willing to share your thoughts and ideas. It was a real blessing to us to spend some time bonding with you.

Second, for those who were unable to make it last night, here is an update on our discussion. We have decided that there are enough official, programmed youth groups in the area and to start another weekly traditional youth group doesn't make sense. However, those who attended felt they could still use a smaller, more informal group where they could discuss more serious topics they were struggling with, ask for prayer, and hang out with other believers. We are going to try and attempt to make this "informal formal" thing work for awhile by simply planning random times, perhaps after church on Sundays or some evenings like last night to get together to debate, discuss, and deal with stuff. Any youth who feels they are wanting to have a prayer time, discuss a certain topic, or just get some support can feel free to post a message on this blog or let Ernest and I know and something will be set up. Ernest and I have also made our home open to drop-ins and phone calls whenever people feel the need.

That pretty much sums up the evening. Thanks again to everyone who attended. And to those who couldn't make it...we missed you!

Carissa
